Dr Shiv Pratap Singh Rana, a trained & certified Pain & Palliative Care specialist with more than 9 years of clinical experience. Dr Rana currently working as accredited Pain & Palliative Care Specialist. He helped many pain and palliative care set up to start with and leading as a role model for physicians in the community. He was trained and awarded a Fellowship in Pain Medicine from Pain Management Centre, Singapore General Hospital Singapore (accredited by the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) Faculty of Pain Medicine). He is also a Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP) from World Institute of Pain. He trained from Bumrungrad International Hospital and Miraj for Endoscopic Spine Surgery and minimally invasive techniques. Dr Rana is also a EPEC (Education in Palliative & End of Life care) trainer, EPM (Essential Pain Management) trainer (a program by Traveling Pain School & Australia & New Zealand Faculty of Pain Medicine). During initial years, he was trained in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and University Pain Clinic, Detroit, USA.
Dr Rana started the Chronic and Interventional Pain Management Services at Fortis Hospital, Noida, Atlanta Hospital, Vasundhara and Kosmos Hospital, Delhi. As its clinical director of the Chronic Pain unit, he established the various clinical programs such as back pain, cancer pain and interventional pain management techniques. Dr Rana is also an active member of International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) since 2011 and member of many international organizations like Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer, World Institute of Pain, Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network, and Singapore Academy of Pain. He is the current Vice chair of World Institute of Pain (India) chapter.
Currently, Dr Rana is the In charge of Pain Clinic at Fortis Hospital, Noida. He has established knifeless surgery via “state of art”-specialized injections to treat various pain conditions (slipped disc, nerve compression, arthritis, frozen shoulder), bringing relief to thousands of patients.
Professionally, Dr Rana is reviewer of four pub med index journals and has been a frequent speaker and faculty at conferences, international as well as local meetings, counting many lecturers in various aspects of pain treatment in orthopedic, neuropathic and oncological conditions. He received nomination award for “Pain Physician of India” for year 2012-13 during First World Symposium on Pain is also winner of “Best Young Pain Physician of India” award for year 2014-2015.
Dr Rana was awarded Commonwealth Scholarship for pursuing Masters Program in Palliative Medicine from Cardiff University, Wales, U.K. He holds the prestigious Diploma in Palliative Medicine from Cardiff University, UK and among the very few experts trained physician in Palliative Medicine in India. He also completed Post Graduate Certificate Course in Palliative Medicine from Singapore Hospice Council and Certificate Course in Essentials of Palliative Care (CCEPC) from AIIMS, Delhi. Dr Rana is also Director of Releaf, Pain Relief Centers in India. Dr. Roopesh Jain is Pain and Palliative care physician from Bhopal. He is Director and chief interventional pain and spine physician of’ ‘ PANACEA’ Pain relief Clinic, Bhopal. He is dedicated to pain and palliative care services in Bhopal since July 2009.He trained at AIIMS, New Delhi in pain and palliative care. He is a certified palliative care physician from Indian Association of Palliative Care. He has published many research papers in various national and international journals and presented papers in national and international conferences of pain and palliative care. His area of interest is cancer pain and Backache.
Dr Arif Ahmed is a dynamic anaesthesiologist, pain and palliative care physician. He has done his MD (Anaesthesia) from Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh, Assam. He had also done a fellowship in pain management from Singapore General Hospital, Singapore. He had also done Indian Association of Palliative Care certified course from AIIMS. During his initial years, he had worked in AIIMS and Max Super Specialty Hospital, Saket. He has been actively involved various research projects and presented various lectures and published multiple papers.
Dr. Raghavendra Ramanjulu is a trained Anesthesiologist, completed his MD from Siddhartha medical college, Tumkur, Karnataka in 2006. He did his advanced training in acute pain management from ASCEULAP academy and residency at NIHMANS with completion of his DNB In 2007. Later he served as consultant Super specialty at Vydehi hospital. He was awarded ISSP training fellowship in Pain management. He also completed fellowship in pain management from Singapore. He was also awarded the scholarship from commonwealth programs to pursue M.Sc. in pall care from Cardiffuniversity.UK. Dr Himanshu khurana did his MBBS and MD from GR Medical College Gwalior. He further did his Senior residency from Institute Rotary Cancer Hospital, All India Institute of Medical Sciences and a short stint at Detroit Medical Centre, Detroit, MI, U.S.A.
His other certifications include, Certificate course in Essentials in Palliative Care” by Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC), Calicut in 2008, Sixth “Foundation course in palliative care”, New Delhi in 2007, AIIMS golden jubilee IRCH foundation day course “comprehensive cancer care prevention, curative and palliation” New Delhi in.2006.
